Machining a Stewart G39 to make a G38 using my milling
machine First attempt with a Dremel Cutter wheel It did not go well. The wheels kept breaking
probably because of the slower speed of the mill. I thought that using an end mill
would shatter the white metal casting. I was wrong! It worked out really well. The new height is well within
.002 tolerance around the new top to the floor. Second attempt with an end mill For a limited time I will machine
your Stewart G39 cars to the correct height as the G38. I need to have at
least 1 car with the original lettering to set the cutting height. There is
NO chance you could get this accurate result drawing cut lines and hand
cutting with a Dremel. The cars will be grit blasted clean once the milling
is done. $10.00 per car with a 4 car minimum
+ return shipping. Disassemble the cars and send me JUST the metal body. |
