These are random photos of the National Association Of S Gaugers National Conventions I have attended. They are generally my yearly vacations, and are like a family reunion as I don’t get to see most of the attendees during the rest of the year. I have been from New Jersey to California and back seeing great tours, layouts and of course great people.  Join us! You will go to your first convention as a new NASG member and leave as a NASG Family Member!

I have a lot more photos for the years not shown here but I have to scan them which is very time consuming. Check back to see if more have been added.

I had an idea in 1990 that if there was a national convention it would be great exposure of S Scale in my area which would benefit and hopefully grow the membership of the then new South Jersey S Scalers Club I founded with Roy Hoffman in 1989.  It was decided that a joint NASG/NMRA/N-Trak convention would be a good place to promote S Scale to a large Northeastern audience. My friend Charlie Leonard and I were apart of the management committee and attended meetings for almost 3 years before the event. When the event arrived we owned Valley Forge and every hotel room for a 20 mile radius! The days that the train show was opened to the public shattered all previous records.  The number of tour buses needed to run the tours was unbelievable. That went horrifically wrong after about 2 days. People were left stranded for hours on layout tours because the buses were not following directions. I was one of them left for dead for hours on someone’s lawn because the layout owner whose house we just toured left to go to the convention.  The bus broker was put out of business by the NMRA.
