I have recently purchased a high end Nikon Super Coolscan 5000
ED 35mm slide and negative scanner. The Nikon software greatly improves the
scanned image over other scanners. It can remove most blemishes and some to
possibly all of the slide fungus as it scans. The end scan will be full negative or slide size at 4000 DPI! The
results are truly amazing, and can save you HOURS of touch up in Photoshop. You can get your choice of a 2-7 MB JPG or a 50 MB+ Archival 8
or 16 bit TIF file. No retouching whatsoever has been done to the below images Click on photos to make them larger Before After |

The CoolScan makes a bad slide fair, a good slide better and a great
slide excellent.
I would expect to get mostly train slides to scan give the market it is
announced to. However I will scan your family slides as well.
Most slides are getting to be 30+ years old now. They need to be
digitally preserved and achieved before they degrade more.
I will not
scan an obviously copyrighted slide or subjects that are not “G” rated.
